Steve Oscherwitz

Steve Oscherwitz is responsible for creating dynamic and metaphorical pieces were he implements his own paintings into images of cancerous cells. By using nanotechnology a painting experience could be placed inside a cellular environment. Optical tweezers can manipulate microscopic acrylic beads within the cell, the same way an artist moves a paintbrush. This, in turn, would effect chemical signaling between inter cellular and extracellular fluid patterns which could effect how the cells operate. This field combines art, science, and cancer research.
